The tea comes from the village of Jasbirey in Ilam. Nepal. 146 Farmer families benefit from you drinking this tea. The business is 100 % women run.
The tea growing area borders a World Heritage Site for mountain wetlands and is renown to produce the highest quality tea. The mix of high altitude (1600 m to 2000 m) and rich biodiversity, combined with the skills of the pluckers and tea masters, results in this fine quality tea.

Boil water and let it settle at around 80 degree celsius . For one cup (150 ml) use 2.5 gm tea. Pour the water over the leaves and brew for about 2 to 3 minutes.

We source them direct from small cooperatives in Kaski, Ilam, Nuwakot, Kavre and Sindhupalchowk Districts in the Mid-hills in Nepal and work closely with the local farmers, to help to improve their livelihoods. Overall we work with more than 800 farmers families.
Every harvest is different depending on climate, farmers and some unforeseeable factors like earthquakes, economic blockade, corona etc. We also add new farmer’s owned cooperatives according to demand. Please ask us whats in our shelf. We are happy to recommend the right coffee for you.
