Incense in Box

Walking through the streets of Kathmandu you will be mesmerized by the variety of smells that hit you. One smell that stands out is of incense. Lighting Incense is integral part of daily life in Nepal the way. It is part of the people to pray to the gods and get their blessings. You can find many different types as HIndu people use incense with frangrance, buddhist people prefer natural scent that has calming and partly also medicinal purpose. When we started our coffee  shop we fell in love with the idea to use our coffee and create a new scent. The outcome is like Christmas, easter and all Hindu festivals at the same time. Delicious. The incense come in a bundle of 10 pcs, lovingly wrapped in a recycled coffee filter and placed in a handmade Loktha paper box decorated with a handmade kar.ma tag made of copper-brass mix. Together with our ceramic incense holder it creates a beautiful environment and scent in our home.

We like to give our coffee a story, a face and a connection between the farmers and you!

We source them direct from small cooperatives in Kaski, Ilam, Nuwakot, Kavre and Sindhupalchowk Districts in the Mid-hills in Nepal and work closely with the local farmers, to help to improve their livelihoods. Overall we work with more than 800 farmers families.

Every harvest is different depending on climate, farmers and some unforeseeable factors like earthquakes, economic blockade, corona etc. We also add new farmer’s owned cooperatives according to demand. Please ask us whats in our shelf. We are happy to recommend the right coffee for you.
